Celebrating its
80th Season, the
Cape Playhouse
is proud to be
America's Oldest
Professional
Summer Theatre.
Californian
Raymond Moore
spent several
summers in
Provincetown
where he was
involved in
painting
scenery, writing
plays and acting
in theatre
there. His
vision, however,
was to have a
theatre of his
own - a smart,
sophisticated
summer theatre,
which would
bring Broadway
to Cape CodSo in
1927, he bought
a 19th century
former Unitarian
Meeting House
for $200 and had
it moved to 3
1/2 acres of
pasture land
fronting the Old
Kings Highway in
Dennis and
converted it
into a theatre.

Chatham Railroad Museum -
153 Depot Road - Chatham, MA |
 |
|
When you cross
the threshold of
the restored
Chatham Railroad
Station, now the
home of the
Chatham Railroad
Museum, you
cross a timeline
back into the
days of railroad
history. Owned
by the town of
Chatham, the
museum is housed
in the original
depot, built in
1887. The
building itself
(a rare example
of Victorian
architecture) is
one of the few
visible remains
of the old
Chatham
Railroad, a
branch railroad
only 7.03 miles
long, that once
connected
Chatham with the
Old Colony
Railroad main
line in Harwich.
The railroad,
owned by the
Town and private
stockholders,
was operated,
under lease,
first by the Old
Colony Railroad
Company, and
later by the New
York, New Haven
and Hartford
Railroad...

Pirate Adventures Of The Sea
Gypsy - Hyannis, MA - (508)
430-0202 |
 |
|
This summer,
take your kids
on an
old-fashioned,
swashbuckling
adventure
they’ll be
spinning yarns
about for years
to come. Of
course, there’s
underwater
treasure at
stake and a
secret map that
needs to be
carefully
followed. Who
knows who else
is after the
same booty? Or
when the crew
may have to fire
the water
cannons in order
to save the
ship! Captain
Crisis may be on
board, along
with a deck hand
or two for
plenty of
revelry. Singing
sea chanteys,
taking the
time-honored
oath of loyal
sailors,
storytelling and
a gang effort to
find the
treasure and
fend off other
ships is all
part of the fun.
Plus, each mate
and matey will
bring home their
share of the
booty...
